I've seen this scene all over the world -- a small potted plant in
an otherwise incongruous location. I see it as a metaphor for people
trying to make the best of whatever situation they are in. The
Habaneros I met definitely fit this profile -- an incredible zest for life
no matter what circumstances are thrown their way.
