This staircase was in an old building of apartments in the middle of
Old Havana. A resident told me it was scheduled for demolition, a
point that saddened me a little as a photographer. I loved the patina
of age that seemed to give the architecture in Havana a textural quality
that is hard to find in our pristine society here in America. Very visual!!!
