The building is the Longa del Comercio (the "Goods Exchange") dating
from 1907 when it was built as a center for trading in food commodities. It now
sparkles after a complete restoration. It houses offices of corporations, news
bureaus and tour companies. It sits on the north side of Plaza de San Francisco,
another nice place to sit out in the sun and have a coffee or other drink. Behind &
to the right, Havana's Harbor terminal deposits Europeans from Cruise Ships
into the heart of Old Havana.
