With limited resources, the Cuban government is working to
rehabilitate as many of the wonderful old buildings in Habana Vieja
as possible. Priority seems to go to structures that can generate
tourist dollars (hotels) and also to buildings that represent the
best in Havana's rich architectural history. The stonework detail
in this building was pretty amazing when I took a close look.
